My first job in the IT industry was with a startup selling procurement solutions into the industry. My job title was Executive Assistant to the Board, when my then Chief Sales Officer needed support selling their procurement solution to the C-Level. I became a business developer by accident – turns out I liked talking about the customer’s needs, doing research, using my language skills.After that I turned it into my own business serving clients all over Europe (The Netherlands, UK, Germany, France…), translating brochures and white papers into German, English, French and selling any solution from supply chain and manufacturing solutions to consulting services. By now, I’ve been passionate about business development for more than 20 years. Adding more skills like a bachelor’s degree in journalism and teaching myself about social media makes me feel complete in what I am doing.I now work at Trivium eSolutions, a provider for Industrial IoT solutions with a strategic focus on digital transformation and smart infrastructure.
