About Safe Wongsunopparat

My journey has been one of purpose and dedication to amplifying marginalised voices, breaking down power dynamics and leveraging the power of impact investment, impact measurement and management (IMM) for a more equitable and sustainable world.I've dedicated over 3.5 years working with a leading impact/social investor in the UK pioneering positive changes to the social sectors and local communities across the UK.Having returned to Christchurch, NZ, I am more driven than ever to champion impact investment and impact transparency. I actively collaborate with the Impact Investing Network and Social Value Aotearoa to raise awareness on impact investment, foster the ecosystem and amplify positive outcomes for the people and planet. Drawing from my global experience working with the GSG and a global NGO, I bring a unique perspective to the table. I understand the nuances of impact investing and IMM on a global and local/ cultural landscape. I aim to catalyse conversations that inspire innovation and bridge the connections from funders down to beneficiaries to drive us toward a more equitable and sustainable future.Understanding the significance of social value and international impact management frameworks, including the SDGs Impact Standards, BCorp, Impact Management Projects and the principles of social values and social return on investment (SROI) methodology, I've embraced a holistic approach for my work to support purpose-driven organisations to enhance their understanding of impact, embedding impact measurement and management into their strategic objectives, and ultimately be accountable and transparent to the people's lives they are changing.
