Responsible for providing comprehensive casework services for transitioning residential youth and their families. Provided community-based linkage and supports to parents and youth for treatment and other services starting at intake to transition youth back into the community. Responsible for the needs and supervision of the seven residents in unit (age 14 to 17). In the absence of the supervisor, make sure the dorm is run according to standard procedure and follow the philosophy of care. Accountable for timely completion and submission of documentation. Conduct staff and residents’ meetings. Address staff and resident concerns. Participate in treatment team meetings, quarterly reviews, and red flag meetings. Assist Therapeutic Support staff with de-escalating resident crises. Directly address staff performance and communicate staff performance to supervisor as necessary.

Provided intensive structure and support to emotionally fragile youth coping with a variety of challenges such as developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis. Maintained the structure of the daily therapeutic environment through nurturance, routine and recreation. Provided peer leadership to staff, participated in team meetings, and acted as a liaison to recreation/education department. Mentored and trained in the areas of TCI, DBT and Life Skills curriculum. Ensured a consistent therapeutic environment and assisted in the development of daily routines and programs for the unit. Continued to mentor residents with weekly mentoring sessions.

Planned and supervised age appropriate recreational activities and trips, and developed positive working relationships with staff, and learned the concept of team work. Worked collaboratively with other departments to help youth attain goals as defined in their individual treatment plans. Mentored youth with weekly mentor sessions.

Facilitated recreational activities designed to address issues such as socialization, anger management, self-esteem and emotional expression including after-school programs and special events. Maintained documentation of assessments, evaluations and treatment of recreational services. Developed and conducted an independent project focused on healthy eating.

Supervised after- school activities for adolescent and teen. Helped with homework, demonstrated organization skills, encouraged healthy learning behaviors, and promoted physical activity.

Applied team work and time management skills needed to meet deadlines. Operated scheduling system, CinemaSource, input movie times for multiple theaters all over world, and translated movie titles from multiple languages into English while focused on input production time.
