I helped successfully propose and pass Amendment 1 at the National Union of Students conference, which calls for transitioning university catering to 100% plant-based options to address the climate crisis. This experience emphasizes my strong abilities in teamwork, strategic leadership, and persuasive communication.

Severn Trent, among the largest landowners in the Midlands, possesses a diverse portfolio encompassing operational sites, farms, peat bogs, and woodland. Committed to enhancing environmental sustainability, Severn Trent has pledged to improve 5,000 hectares of land by 2027. A significant aspect of this initiative involves assessing the current state of our land and identifying strategies for improvement.The role entails conducting general mapping exercises using Arcmap, involving Shapefile manipulation, data extraction, and editing. Additionally, tasks include the conversion and uploading of historical Biodiversity Audit data into GIS format, translating it into UKHab and Biodiversity Net Gain Units. Collaboration with the biodiversity team during third-party audits and partnerships, as well as contributing to surveys and habitat assessments, is a key responsibility.Working closely with Severn Trent's Environmental Scientists and Ecologists, the position involves developing Species ID and NVC classifications on-site. Furthermore, the incumbent will play a crucial role in formulating monitoring plans for specialized biodiversity opportunities, including a comprehensive program to demonstrate and measure successes in environmental conservation.
