Worked primarily with Energy & Infrastructure Projects and Real Estate practice groups.Served on a two-person Skadden team assisting the Innocence Project in a Civil Rights lawsuit against Mississippi Officials who jailed an innocent grieving mother for nearly a year after wrongfully accusing her of murdering her baby. Seven years after the underlying tragedy took place, the case settled during my brief time working on it.

During my second year of law school, worked Friday-Sunday in the Offices of Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine. Organized community outreach, advised on housing and transportation policy, and staffed the Borough President at events throughout the city. Spearheaded an initiative to analyze historical demographic compositions of Manhattan’s 12 Community Boards and successfully implemented an outreach plan that increased engagement and representation for several underrepresented groups.

For my 3rd summer with Deutsche Bank, I rotated on the High Yield Credit Trading desk and the Global Prime Finance Sales desk. I gave two formal case study presentations to senior management on a bond trade proposal and an analysis of quantitative hedge funds. On the GPF desk I was responsible for building Project Freedom - an excel data analysis program that tracked client balance movements and quantitatively measured client relationships. When it was completed, senior management projected that it would contribute up to $25 million to P&L.

As a summer analyst in Deutsche Bank's Global Markets division, I spent half of my summer working in equity trading where I rotated on the high-touch cash trading desk, the program trading desk, and DB's Autobahn electronic trading platform. I spent the other half of the summer in the Corporate Risk Solutions group, specializing in interest rates.Additionally, I worked with a group of 3 other interns on a case study examining the efficacy of quantitative easing and the best course of action for the Federal Reserve to unwind its $4.5 trillion balance sheet.

As a summer intern at Deutsche Bank, I worked in the Regional Finance department on a Regulatory Quality Assurance team. My team tracked transactions from front office to back office and regularly did control tests to ensure efficiency throughout all of the bank's processes. Personally, I researched entities and complied databases in preparation for these tests.As a participant in the I Have A Dream program, I also worked on a team of 4 other interns and developed a business plan for a startup. Competing with several other teams, we thoroughly built a model for a food truck. We compiled balance sheets, budgets, menus, and many other aspects of creating a successful food truck. At the end of the internship, we presented our business model to a panel of senior managing directors at Deutsche Bank, as well as a large audience. My team won the "I Have A Dream Challenge," securing a $200,000 hypothetical investment from members of the panel.

I wrote official summaries, drafted legislation, and helped manage events sponsored by the assemblyman. I was a campaign member during his successful bid for reelection in 2014.
