My role is to develop and build the transfer practice for Andersen in the UAE region. Key responsibilities include:• Play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to acquire new clients, expand services with existing clients, and identify cross-selling opportunities with other tax services.• Provide strategic input to senior leadership on the firm’s direction regarding transfer pricing services, helping to shape the growth and expansion of the practice.• Identify trends and opportunities in the market to innovate service offerings, such as digital solutions for transfer pricing documentation or leveraging technology for better compliance.• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their transfer pricing needs are met and providing ongoing advisory support.• Lead and mentor a team of transfer pricing professionals, fostering growth and development within the firm.• Design and implement tailored transfer pricing strategies, aligning with client business models and tax compliance requirements;• Lead and manage transfer pricing engagements, from documentation to dispute resolution, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.• Assist clients with compliance tasks such as preparing local files, master files, transfer pricing documentation, and country-by-country reporting (CbCR).• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and technical updates for team members to enhance their expertise in transfer pricing matters.• Manage the allocation of resources across projects, ensuring the right expertise is applied to each engagement.

This role was a short term role where my objective was to develop the transfer pricing capability for the firm's KSA practise. I was instrumental in firm wide training for advanced transfer pricing topics, prepare a future roadmap, assess and improve existing deliverables and processes. Towards the end of my engagement, team was able to identify and lead engagements and we added close to half million saudi riyals of pure TP revenues.

Responsible for BRP Group’s global transfer pricing compliance and planning projects including: A) Action 13 reporting (cbc), filing (notification) and documentation package (Mf/LF) for 26 countriesB) Analyse the impact of technology disruption on group value chain led by resulting from development of digital/e-commerce infrastructure and other technology based investments C) Govern and implement intra-group financing arrangements e.g. cash-pool, factoring, borrowing, revolver etc. Including pricing of loans and cash pool leadersD) Manage TP audits with CRA, IRS and provide support to overseas audits as well. E) Lead Int’l tax projects such as initial implementation of BEAT, PE attribution etc.

Transfer pricing projects include: 1. Action 13 documentation for a global organization engaged in Marine logistic services 2. Implementation of profit split model3. Preparation of transfer pricing policy including evaluation of various TP models such as Principal, Franchise, Licensee and Cost contribution for a e-commerce real estate consultancy4. Implementation of head-office cost allocation models5. Transfer pricing risk assessment for an Omni-channel retail set-up

As a Transfer Pricing associate, I strive to provide the best tax advice to my clients by navigating the ever-changing and dynamic Transfer Pricing rules. I analyse the client's business and then suggest the best route available to the client like APAs,MAP and assist them in structuring their international transactions and over all business structure. My work includes preparation of the regular TP Policy documentation of clients and benchmark the various transactions using statistical/economic models and operating various databases like Prowess, Amadues, CapitaLine etc. to conform with the arm's length principleFurther I have also assisted my seniors in defending client's positions before the Revenue Authorities during assesssment proceedings.
