1. Prepared five different composites to study the effect of polymeric materials on disc brake squeal.2. Physical, chemical and mechanical characterization of each composite was done as per standards.3. Acoustic studies were done on NVH dynamometer as per SAE J2521 standards at different pressure, temperature and speed.4. Data obtained from acoustical studies of test samples for time averaged friction coefficient and Peak Sound Pressure Level (SPL) was analyzed statistically using Pandas and Numpy.5. Evaluated the correlation between both parameters, statistical correlation analysis was done for all the formulations.6. Very clear inferences were drawn from the visualisations thus obtained and hypothesis was proposed based on these inferences, material properties and domain knowledge based on research already conducted in this field.7. Finite element model of disc and pad was prepared in SOLIDWORKS and modal analysis was done in ANSYS to detect the potential frequencies prone to brake squeal.8. Worn surface was analyzed using “Scanning Electron Microscopy” for wear rate studies.

Aided CAD engineer in modeling and obtaining data for chassis of combine harvester. Based on this internship, did a course project in M.Tech to obtain the best maintenance strategy through decision logic.
