TEACHER: Having studied as a student (and trained as a teacher) at Brampton Manor Academy, I am convinced that my growth and work rate had been directly influenced by the culture set in this outstanding school. My interest in History grew from my curiosity of gaps in the curriculum, what are they not teaching us? What is missing? Is there only one side of this story that needs to be heard? I endeavour to now teach history with a more balanced and more student-led approach, provoking their thoughts and encouraging critical and nuanced thinking. After my training years and NQT, I was promoted to Lead Humanities teacher at Al Jazeera Academy within a month, by the end of the year I received my second promotion and became a Head of Year. After experiencing the last few years during COVID and both domestically and internationally, I have gained many new skills as a Middle Leader including: the ability to lead a team, working efficiently with both proven and new systems, introducing creative solutions to drive progress and maintain good behaviour, as well an adaptive workmanship to deal with both new and difficult situations.WRITER: I've published two books during my early-20s, one being a poetry compilation called "Unshackled" and the other being a novel called "The Pacifists Sword" - more information about them on my page. www.SaifTheWriter.co.uk MENTOR: Having run an internship programme virtually, and having managed teams of people for the last 7 years, I have grown hugely as a mentor, both in regards to personal mentorship, enhancing a persons skill's set, confidence, communication and confidence, but also as an entrepreneur, helping people unlock their potential and create an income stream for themselves.
