My work focuses on developing physics-based mathematical models of failure of composite materials at multiple length scales.I obtained my Ph.D. from the Department of Civil & Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins University where I developed Machine learning-aided Digital Twins for Damage Sensing which predicted the local state of damage of a piezo-composite material from deformation-induced far field electrical signals due to direct piezoelectric effect.My technical expertise lies in the following areas:Theory: Continuum mechanics, theory of composites, constitutive modeling of fracture and failure,multi-physics and multi-scale behavior of materials and machine learningNumerical: Nonlinear FEA, phase-field modeling, continuum damage models, microstructure characterization, distributed computing
