Responsible for measurement and verification (M&V), digital technologies, cybersecurity, and process improvement. Performed preliminary and detailed energy analysis, schematic designs, and M&V plans for energy efficiency and infrastructure projects at large industrial, commercial, and institutional customers. Performed detailed analysis of HVAC system retrofits, including a ground source heat pump retrofit with remote load shedding capabilities for more than housing and hotel complexes, a central plant upgrade with 1,100 hp of low temperature hot water boilers and 1,700 tons cooling, and converting dormitory HVAC from electric heat to hot and chilled water systems. Evaluated energy-related process improvement for a soda ash plant, a zinc refinery, oil refinery, air separation plants, and multiple paper mills. ECMs evaluated heat recovery, pump and paper machine line shaft VFDs, and thermocompressors.

Responsible for the development of company-wide protocols, methods, and procedures to verify performance for energy savings performance contracts, including measurement methods, instrumentation guidelines, sampling plans, data integrity requirements, and cost estimating guidelines.Developed and implemented site-specific M&V plans for efficiency projects including lighting retrofits and controls, HVAC occupancy controls, steam trap replacements, chiller and boiler efficiency retrofits.

Supervised energy analysis and end use monitoring studies for industrial and commercial energy efficiency projects. Oversaw technical support and quality control activities for two industrial efficiency demand side management (DSM) programs. Coordinate efforts of seven staff. Analyzed electric energy and demand savings, operating costs, and productivity improvements for industrial processes, including electric arc furnaces, air separation plants, and gas refineries. Verified energy savings for process retrofits, including refrigeration system upgrades, lumber dry kiln fan VFDs, and cement kiln clinker cooler fan VFDs. Combined end use metering data with process logs to determine actual savings and made recommendations to improve energy savings.Conducted energy efficient motor and process cooling impact evaluations for utility DSM program. Methodology included whole building energy analysis and end-use metering at 50+ sites.
