As founder and Chair of East Timor Trading (ETT) Group, Sakib has been part of Timor-Leste's journey since independence. Growing alongside the nation & with 200+ Timorese staff, ETT is the largest non-oil business in the country, spanning retail, hospitality, and distribution, serving 2200 retail outlets nationally.With 3 decades in business in Timor-Leste, Sakib is diversifying ETT into property development with the provision of private sector infrastructure. Under the newly established development Arm, ETT is constructing Discovery Business Industrial Zone (DBIZ), the country’s most modern international standard commercial zone comprising 80,000 s/m of retail, commercial, hotel, convention, and industrial space.
