Job Description/ Key responsibilities: - In consultation with local authorities and beneficiaries identify sites and target households for water source macro-water catchments RO filtration unit pipe networks and other project interventions in target locations.- Preparing all required technical documents includes BoQs, drawing, structure analysis for solar pumping system and other depends on project requirement.- Work with M&E to regularly track and report on progress towards AHEAD water sanitation and hygiene targets.- Work with WASH program officer to draw up works tender documents’ and provide technical support to Bid Committees.Oversee and create a community-based oversight system for all engineering works done by contractors.- Develop detailed bills of quantities (BOQ), drawings and action plans for the construction/Rehabilitation works required at WATSAN facilities & community projects in collaboration with WASH program officer and engineers’ staff and based on assessment and program requirements, ensuring that recommended work is within the SPHERE standard. Technical training of community volunteers, members of WASH committees, governmental staff and health canters’ admin staff on how to use and maintain the WATSAN facilities. - To conduct need assessment for all water, sanitation infrastructure, community assets, (Latrine, water supply system, water treatment units, agriculture sites, etc.) in targeted areas.- Develop technical designs, details bills of quantities BOQ with estimated costs, drawing and structural calculations for the construction/rehabilitation works required in line with YDF/DONOR'S regulations as well as the existing local, national, international standards.- Ensure that WASH infrastructure construction and rehabilitation works are carried out according to BOQs, drawings, quality standards established by the organization through quality checklists. - Weekly reporting of data to follow up the standard project.
