Manager of 24/7/365 disaster communications response center and public hotline for national and regional Red Cross matters. Hired, trained, and supervised a staff of twelve paid employees. Created systems for coordinating disaster response teams in the field. Coordinated scheduling. Created and enforced standards and guidelines for center customer service. Recruited, trained, and acted as scheduler and staff liaison for approximately fifty volunteers. Promoted to manager of center after working as staff (coordinator) for fourteen months.

Through the Americorps VISTA program, I served the American Red Cross Southeastern PA chapter, specifically working with the Service to the Armed Forces bureau. SAF department supports veterans, military families, and the organizations that serve them. My responsibilities included building relationships with partner organizations and creating opportunities for both volunteers and local groups to become involved with our service programs.

Half Letter Press is a publishing imprint and an experimental online store that I co-ran with my collaborators Brett Bloom and Marc Fischer. The three of us also collaborated under the name Temporary Services. We published booklets as an element of our collaborative work since 1998. We created Half Letter Press to publish and distribute book and booklet length works by ourselves and others. We were interested in using this endeavor to build long-term support and expanded audiences for people that work creatively in experimental ways. Half Letter Press continues to grow under the care of my two former collaborators.

I collaborated with the artists Marc Fischer and Brett Bloom as the art group Temporary Services. We created art and publications together, organized exhibitions and events, and collaborated with other artists and community members. Our work has been shown internationally in sites from public spaces to museums. I was officially a member of Temporary Services from 2001-2014. The group formed in 1998, and I assisted with several projects and events during the 1999-2000 years. Temporary Services continues on with Marc and Brett at the helm.
