• Delivered higher level security consultancy services in order to provide Commanders with Mission focused adaptable security risk mitigation solutions. • Represented the RAF’s Principle Security Advisors on security matters relating to infrastructure by providing higher echelon specialist security advice to the RAF, MOD & UK Government departments. • Provided bespoke security advice on major works projects by liaising with architects and RAF and MOD stakeholders. • Carried out Security Risk Surveys to identify and expose establishment vulnerabilities, enabling Risk Owners to make informed decisions on security risk. • Conducted Risk and Vulnerability Surveys, Specialist Surveys, on-site reviews and bespoke Surveys and security surveys, both home and abroad, for military use. • Provided advice to RAF Commanders and appropriate external agencies on Crime Reduction, Counter Terrorism, Physical Security and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation. • Undertook Security Risk Inspections of Military sites both overseas and UK based locations. Providing specialist Protective Security advice and assistance with the production of Operational Requirements for technical security solutions. • Provided subject matter expert advice in support of Force Protection Expeditionary Air Operations. • Conducted site surveys, audits and inspections, compiled local emergency response plans, conducted contingency planning and was involved in the alignment of these with crisis management and business continuity. • Established, trained and lead the RAF ‘Red Team’ a penetration testing capability designed to simulate physical and technical threats to critical military sites both within the UK and overseas. This required close liaison with civil authorities, local and international, within the proximity of the sites.
