Sally Eckhart has worked in the chemical dependency and behavioral health field for over 30 years. He began her career as an administrative assistant in a therapeutic community in 1976, and through hands-on experience, training, and education was gradually promoted to a variety of positions until He became a Site Director in 1979. He served in this capacity until 1984 when He was again promoted to the position of Associate Administrator and later became the Administrator and Assistant Executive Director responsible for oversight and management of multi-modality chemical dependency treatment services, mental health community residences, adolescent homeless services, group homes and transitional living programs.He has worked in government relations and served as a liaison for the New York City (NYC) Mayor and the NYC Comptroller’s Immigration Task Force. Ms. Eckhart is a graduate of Fordham University, holds a Masters degree in Social Work, and is a Licensed Social Worker and Mental Health Counselor and completed the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Management Training Program. He has served as a peer reviewer for the Administration of Children and Family Services, and has extensive experience assisting programs stateside and in the Caribbean in program management and developing systems of accountability. Since 1998, Ms. Eckhart has held the position of Vice President, Special Projects, for a non-profit agency providing a comprehensive continuum of substance abuse, alcohol and behavioral health services in the greater New York Metropolitan area and Long Island. Ms. Eckhart is a vital member of the agency’s leadership, whose efforts have helped successfully grow the organization’s programs and public standing.
