It is more valuable to me to align skills to the vision of the company, whilst being mindful that each title has a human behind it.My experience taught me that understanding the employee is to appreciate the challenges that comes with their position. Next, implementing strategies and or policies to assist all colleagues to work more efficient is a personal achievement. To see and experience people working with pride and confidence, is as rewarding as growing the bottom-line.Being fair and consistent in applying the LRA and BCEA, often resolves more matters than simply assuming people respond to warnings. Having said that, a well drafted and implemented disciplinary code, strengthens my hand - something CEO's throughout my career have come to appreciate.
