I am now permanently with Hampshire as an Assistant Team Manager; back on the management tree.I recently completed the Frontline Manager's Pathway Programme level 2, in order to update my leadership skills; this programme concluded in July 2023.Previously worked as an Independent Safeguarding and Reviewing Officer for a Local Authority, specialising in Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Children's Reviews. I have also gained valuable experience as a Supervising Social Worker with an Independent Fostering Agency; my experience also includes working as a qualified social worker in front line Child Protection and Looked After Children teams within Local Authorities. I have a PGCE in Secondary Education, although I opted to work in the Exclusions Team for an education department rather than go into the classroom. Working directly with children and young people on a one to one basis at tier three, is far more rewarding for me than trying to impart knowledge to teenagers in groups of 30+.Previous careers also include being a qualified dental nurse and a Dog Handler with HM Customs and Excise (as it was known then).
