Chief Executive Officer
Current- To develop, articulate and promote the vision, ethos and aims of Dementia Support (“DS”)- Take executive responsibility and be accountable for the overall management strategic development and day to day affairs of DS to ensure its long term sustainability, growth and success - Use utmost endeavours to promote, protect, and develop the activities and good reputation of DS- Provide information, objective advice and support to the Board of Trustees (the ”Board” or the “Trustees”) to enable it to be fully aware of the progress of key strategies and objectives of DS to meet its responsibilities for achieving these - Advise the Trustees on policy issues, bringing a wider perspective and well-informed views. The CEO must be fully aware of Government charity, local authority and NHS policy and legislation involving Dementia so that the Trustees are kept informed of all developments and changes- Attend meetings of the Board or of any committee or sub-committee thereof (unless asked to withdraw) and make such reports to them (both orally and in writing) in connection with the CEO’s duties and responsibilities as the Board may require- Submit items for the agenda of all meetings of the Board or of any committee or sub-committee thereof- Ensure that policies and strategies adopted by the Board are fully implemented and followed by DSParticular Responsibilities include;• Strategic development• Leadership• Management• Services• Fundraising• Safeguarding, compliance and risk management
