Oversee the quality assurance department for the Services Division (CPS, Foster Care, Prevention, Benefits, Adult Services). Provide oversight and training on all areas that impact the lives of our clients (ethical treatment and documentation in EHR system). Conduct audits, maintain data, analyze trends, support staff, collaborate with leadership team, and work to improve outcomes as we expand services to families in the Chesapeake locality. Lead the City-wide Trauma Committee that addresses trauma symptoms and resources, cultural shifts, training, improved supervision, and consistent and inclusive messaging.

Provide clinical supervision (group/individual – similar to grand rounds), training, and mentoring to Navy substance abuse counselors working at substance abuse rehabilitation programs (SARP). Utilize a curriculum-based model of training to include ethics, code of conduct, DSM 5 diagnosis, trauma, and professional conduct, to develop individualized plans and track counselor competency across alcohol and drug counselor domains and core functions.

Lead the Compliance Team for the City of Norfolk’s CSB. Provide oversight of all Federal, State, Local, and Grantor regulations as they pertain to the CSB. Plan, organize, and develop strategies to perform compliance and quality assurance activities to ensure ethical standards are adhered to, conduct investigations, uphold code of conduct, process critical incident reports, write corrective action plans, and provide training and support for the staff and teams of CSB. Write policies, procedures, program manuals, and quality improvement plans. Risk Management, Ethics Committee, and Chairing of the Health & Safety Committee were integral aspects of ensuring a safe workspace for staff and clients. Chair the Strategic Planning Committee.
