I’m Sally Collings, a book proposal specialist. After landing my dream job as an editor for HarperCollins straight out of college, I pursued that career path across the globe, my journey taking me to Sydney, London, and Silicon Valley. My years in publishing have given me a deep understanding of the book creation process and the demands of the market. For the past decade I’ve worked as a ghostwriter and book editor, collaborating with authors who have a message that the world needs to hear. When I wrote my first book (Sophie’s Journey, an instant bestseller), I discovered I had a flair for drawing out people’s stories and insights through interviews. Since then, I’ve applied that flair to books in the space of personal growth, spiritual practice, business leadership, and innovation.I delight in partnering with natural storytellers and speakers—and others for whom long-form writing isn’t their idea of a good time. I regularly work with authors who have overcome obstacles to reach a position of impact, including people with ADHD and learning differences; women of influence; and the nonbinary community.
