Director
Arc was an artist residency for research and dialogue that offered a space for agency at the intersection between the arts and society, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In different residency formats artists were invited to engage with experts from other fields, as this process allowed them to widen their fields of investigation and forge innovative partnerships beyond the confines of the art world. Over the course of 4,5 years, Arc kept re-inventing itself, by continuously questioning the residency as an art institution from within and without, challenging values, testing new ways of collaboration and questioning the wider socio-cultural ecology. A growing group of shareholders (artists, thinkers and makers who returned in different roles) was invited to contribute to this questioning the art institution from within, and this ‘re-inventing the residency’ was implemented in the daily practice of the organisation. - Re-invention of the existing residency into an interdisciplinary, collaborative research program; development of the formats, thematic residencies and public events. - Hosting and supporting artists and experts from other fields - Management of the organisation, administration, communication, finances and building maintenance. - Development of communication, public relations and network. - Management of a small team of 1 fixed member, a few freelancers and volunteers. - Member of the board of the Directorate of cultural and social affairs of the Federation of Migros CooperativesArchive: www.arcartistresidency.ch

Belluard Bollwerk International is an arts festival that takes place every year at the beginning of the summer in Fribourg (CH). The festival takes a special position in the Swiss and European festival landscape through its pointed, transversal program, its scale and unique location. Belluard Bollwerk International is a multilingual festival, in a city on the crossroads of the German and French speaking part of Switzerland. It brings together artists from inland and abroad. It confronts local with international art practices and puts Fribourg in the centre of a global art context. It is on the one hand a festival where both emerging and established artists can present work. On the other hand the festival is a producer of projects on the edge of practices. The festival offers discussions on a high level, and encourages reflection and cross thinking, and this all in a convivial atmosphere.www.belluard.ch (festivals 2008 - 2013) - Artistic direction of the annual festival program (20 projects, 60 artists) - Professionalized and raised more visibility for the festival - Financial management and fundraising; stabilized and raised the budget - Production, administration and logistic organization of the festival - Management of a fixed team of 3 persons and a freelance staff of 30 professionals and 80 volunteers in the 4 months up to and during the festival - Developing of public relations and international network
