Oversee individual assistance program for employees, retirees and their families experiencing unforeseen hardship. Complete individual assessments, coordinate care and referrals to community resources, and advocate for services and benefits. Provide consultation with team regarding crisis intervention and elder abuse reporting. Direct community grantmaking and initiatives, assign applications, supervise case managers and administrative staff, and chair weekly Case Committee meetings to ensure effective delivery of services and stewardship of resources. Work with the CEO and the Board of Directors to support and further the foundation’s mission and values as well as initiate and participate in policy development and implementation. Reviewed and approved written documents including care plans, progress notes, and intake assessments. Monitored monthly progress with contractual, financial and service goals and approved all departmental expenditures. Prepare monthly reports for Board of Directors on services and budget data including tracking of goals and performance. Provided information and referrals. Represented agency at community meetings. Collaborated on development of geriatric mental health training course for Los Angeles County geriatric mental health providers including curriculum development, recruitment, facility and catering arrangements, and coordination of speakers.

At UCLA Student Counseling and Psychological Services, I provided crisis intervention, short term individual and group psychotherapy to culturally diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students. Facilitated therapy group on substance use and harm reduction. Coordinated assessments, group therapy and referral program for students at risk for substance use problems. Presented educational trainings and outreach to the UCLA community. Represented CAPS on multidisciplinary committees including University Committee on Disability, UCLA Drug Free Schools Committee, and the Eating and Activity Task Force. Supervised graduate interns and post-doctoral fellow. Participated on interview committees for professional staff and interns.

Administered clinical program for acute adult and geriatric patients, completed psychosocial evaluations, provided crisis intervention, group therapy, and brief goal oriented individual and family therapy as well as coordinated discharge planning and referrals to community resources.
