I work with Secondary and Primary Schools including Pupil Referral Units and Special Schools to support their Career Education and Work Related Learning. This involves delivering Career workshops, Raising Aspiration events and Enterprise Challenges to young people in order to develop their employability skills and awareness of the variety of career opportunities and progression routes available to them.Organising employer engagement is vital in order to demonstrate to young people the variety of job roles there are and the different career paths people take.

Engaging Career Leaders in schools with the vast amount of employers and resources available to them through the Enterprise Advisor Network and supporting them to embed a careers culture within the school.

I was responsible for the day to day management of the site, promotion, development and delivery of activities as well as the supervision of museum assistants and volunteers. I ensured all the necessary health and safety policies were in place and procedures followed. I was responsible for administrative duties associated with the running of the museum including performance and financial data.

I co-ordinated Work Related Learning that covered supporting young people in learning through, for and about work for secondary school years 7-13 and also the feeder primaries the school had. My role as mentor involved me working with pupils on a one-to-one basis as well in small groups of up to 6 pupils. I supported these pupils with their academic work.I co-ordinated Work Experience placements for year 11, with a cohort of 250 this was a task which involved developing and maintaining relationships with many different types of companies and organisations.

I joined Sandwell EBP providing administrative support during my holiday breaks from University. At the end of the summer (2009) when I finished University, I was promoted to the position of Work Related Learning Assistant. I liaised with Sandwell Primary and Secondary schools to arrange Work Related Learning programmes within the schools. I prepared resources for these events, worked closely with my colleagues to create new enterprise challenges and had an active role in delivering workshops to pupils aged 9-18.

Four summers whilst at school and then University, I was employed as an Administrative Assistant in the Civil Service. My duties entailed checking and inputting data on to the computer, processing applications for VAT registration and taking customer queries over the telephone.
