Stating development in 2013 working on open source projects I quickly realised there is nothing I enjoy more than solving complex problems. Over the years I have worked with a variety of languages such as Python, PHP, C#, Typecript and more. I have a diverse skill set with experience in complex enterprise integrations and financial systems combined with modern development such as React and Typescript. My language of choice is Python as it allows rapid development and clean clear code for others to follow but I am always open to working with new languages and even crazy ones like Clojure/Lisp.As well as development skills I also have the ability to work with clients of all skill levels. Working with multiple companies running meetings and planning projects has helped me to understand that its not all about technical ability but also how well developers can communicate and work as a team.My last role had me working on not just development but also integrating third part tools such as AdWords and building complicated repots. I also helped manage all the IT infrastructure including deploying networks and leased lines. We successfully migrated the application into React with Django backends powering complex systems like price injection and user tracking. Over the years I also performed multiple cloud migrations. Taking the servers from Linode to AWS and finally a fully autonomous.
Working with smaller clients directly to manage there internal systems. This included billing systems for ISP's as well as large internal tools used in every division of companies. Most of this work was in PHP on legacy applications but where possible we made some Python API's to replace legacy code.
