My role in the Executive Management team has been government and stakeholder liaison, investor relations, corporate communications, coal sales and logistics and some company secretarial responsibilities.I am now consulting to the company, based in Brisbane but looking for opportunities in Sydney and Melbourne.

Galilee Energy Limited (previously Eastern Corporation Limited) is an Australian public company which listed in 1996. In late 2002 the company underwent a full board & management restructure, divesting its varied interests to focus on exploration for coal seam gas in central Queensland & the development of coal projects in New Zealand.Recruited to be part of the new management group on the basis of my public relations and marketing background. As in the case of most junior exploration companies, a wide variety of management responsibilities is handled by a very small team. My role covered activities in both Australia and New Zealand and expanded to a broad based business development and corporate relations function.

Henry Walker Eltin was an Australian public company with international operations in contract mining, civil engineering, environmental management services and transport services. I managed their car rental division which was the Northern Territory franchise for Avis Australia until it was sold in 2001, at which time I was offered the position of Manager, Corporate Services. The position was originally based in Darwin. I relocated to the Brisbane office for Henry Walker Eltin in 2001 and resigned when approached to take the position offered by Eastern Corporation Limited.

I was General Manager for Avis NT, which was the largest franchise for Avis Australia operating a fleet of 400 vehicles over 5 locations throughout the Northern Territory and employing 26 staff. The franchise was a division of contracting company, Henry Walker Eltin. As such, my reporting responsibilities were both to Avis Australia and to the Board of HWE. The business was sold to Avis Australia in March 2001.
