Since 2020 I have been a member of the match statistics team for the Australian Open tennis tournament. This role encompassed being positioned courtside to collect data in real time as to the players shots during the match. This fast paced and high stress environment helped me to develop the ability to stay calm when the task becomes overwhelming, and I learned various strategies to overcome stress and get the task done efficiently.

Having joined the team at Osteria 20 with little hospitality experience, I developed my skills as a waiter serving tables and attending to customer needs.In June of 2021, I was promoted to the role of floor supervisor in charge of 30+ staff. My role includes overseeing all waiting staff during daily service, staff training, being responsive to all customer concerns and the end-of-day register balancing and restaurant closing. This position has taught me valuable skills in staff management, developed my problem-solving skills and enabled me to be an inclusive leader of a large team. In February 2022 I was given the position of Functions and Events manager as well as floor supervisor. This role entailed the organization of large-scale events (20-200 people) with potential clients. Building on my skills as a supervisor, this role enabled me to be directly involved with large events which meaningfully impacted on the profitability of the restaurant. This experience together with my customer/client communication and strong organisation skills will help me in my future endeavours in a dynamic business environment.In 2023, I have had the opportunity to lead the opening of a second venue in Richmond called Ella BGP, where I coordinated the entire fit out, installation and purchasing of the bar as well as creation of the drinks list. This required negotiations with a range of suppliers to achieve the best possible prices for our customers whilst providing the highest quality goods.

The Atlantic group is a premium hospitality agency which provides casual staff to major events such as the Australian Grand Prix and the Melbourne Cup.In 2023 I was employed to work the Australian Grand Prix as the team leader of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) suite. This is the event’s premier suite hosted by the CEO and Chairman of the AGPC and is located in the premium hospitality section of the paddock club. In this role I was responsible for over 15 members of staff ranging from waiters, bar staff and baristas to ensure the smooth running of the suite and to ensure the guests experience was exceeded at all times.I have also completed the Victorian Racing Carnival with Atlantic Hospitality as team leader of the trackside suite, comprised of over 200 guests and 15 staff members. I was responsible for managing my team to provide the highest level of client service to ensure the clients needs were met at all times.

Pinnacle people is an employment agency that is hired by businesses to contract staff for casual hospitality shifts. During the Covid Pandemic, I was hired by Pinnacle people to work as a COVID marshal team leader at a large organisation. This role provided me with an opportunity to further grow my leadership skills with up to 15 staff under my responsibility at one time. By drawing on my management experience, I was able to create a unified team of COVID marshals that successfully managed to contain the health risks for that workplaces for over 4 months until Government restrictions were eased.I have worked for Pinnacle people as a waiter and bartender on various occasions at locations such as the MCG (Long Room), Flemington racecourse and GMHBA stadium. These shifts helped build my skills on adaptability where I was asked to jump into roles that were often unfamiliar and at last minute but always to meet and exceed the client’s needs.
