 Managing over 300 contracts of CNPE within the contracts team (3 persons) that includes, issuing bids, prequalification, post qualifications stage, finalization, internal recommendations and obtaining approvals of both management and government, drafting exhibits and prepare slandered contracts with liaising with the end-user. Provide Legal and Contractual Advise to Nexen HQ when required, such advise can be related to contractual or legal stand point that includes many local laws such as but not limited to Labor law, commercial code and civil code. Following up with the respective departments for future contractual needs and planning. Follow internal approvals and process in accordance with company procedures and Yemeni Legal Requirements. Coordinate and follow with PEPA OpCom, PEPA Chairman for contractual approvals and attend meetings on behalf of contracts department. Record all minutes for all governmental meetings conducted with the government at all levels.

* Review Internal procedures from legal stand point to insure compliance with local laws and advise on all legal related challenges.* Manage the activities of WRG’s local partners and be the key contact for communications.* Participate in shaping proposals, proposal drafting and meeting donors. * Assess proposals received from local partners and evaluate beneficiaries needs.* Manage the collection, storage and analysis of data collected from field.* Evaluate potential local partners for registration. * Supervise procumbent process and draft procurement contracts and partnership agreements. * Provide overall projects support that includes but not limited to: day to day follow up, lead procurement process, review and develop reports, coordinate meetings, set operation strategies and help creating SOPs for local partners operations. * Providing IT Support for ODK and Kobo application. * Provide cultural advise for operations in Yemen.

 Provide legal advice to Total E&P Yemen Contracts Department and coordinate with both legal teams in Paris and Pau for operational contracts valued up to $ 100 Million. Working closely with the Contracts Department at Total E&P Yemen in providing legal advice in different conflicts arising from the tendering processes. Conflicts involved in and advised on including but not limited to; a. tendering processes, b. contractual obligations and exceptions, c. contract clause negations and, d. settlement contract closeouts. Liaise with Total E&P Yemen out-house counsels for urgent legal opinion and court litigations. Different cases filed against Total E&P Yemen and were being with successfully either by waiving the claim or by reaching a settlement with the plaintiff. Drafted several agreements such as lease agreement, settlement agreement standard lease agreement as well as reviewed standard contract format from a legal and procedural standpoints. Acted as a member of the Contracts Management Committee to ensure proper tendering process from a legal standpoint and legal scenarios and possible impact before presenting to OpCom. The committee members include all Company Directors, the Managing Director, Contracts and Operation Manager and (Me) the Legal Advisor. Provide Legal Advice to company management and all its divisions including HR, Finance, Operation, Contracts, Procurement, General Services and Environment in accordance with Total E&P Yemen standers, and / or Yemeni and French law.

Provided court cases pre-litigation research and advice .Worked as paralegal conducting legal research and study different cases, mainly criminal cases,and attending court hearing sessions and recording minutes.
