Lead Intern - Carmel Summer Meals
This program provides essential food supplies to children in the Carmel School system, as well as children of counselors in the district who rely on government meals during the school year. Over the course of nine weeks, we served over 500 children and 200 families each week, ensuring that every child received a food bag with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for Monday through Friday.My responsibilities included corresponding with families, coordinating food distribution, managing logistics (like moving pallets and picking up supplies with box trucks), and handling data in Excel. I also had the chance to collaborate with other interns on Tools for School, another amazing project.
