Key Responsibilities: • Maintain, service and inspect the Fleet Air Arm's aircraft, before and after every flight, and operating at the highest levels of the engineering industry. • Developed engineering skills in both mechanical technology and avionics.• Developed knowledge of aircraft systems, flight test program procedures, structural dynamics, systems design and testing, flight mechanics and controls.• Maintain and overhaul aircraft and sub-assemblies in accordance with established maintenance schedules, including inspections, testing, repairs and installations of engine systems and components.• Certify aircraft are air worthy in accordance with local and international aviation standards.• Complete mechanical trade servicing including gas turbines, hydraulics, powered flying controls, transmissions, landing gear and airframes.• Carry out in-depth analysis and rectification of faults on mechanical systems.• Competent in the use of test equipment and procedures for failure analysis.• Remove and replace faulty equipment such as gear boxes, gas turbine engines, and hydraulic components following the relevant job method whilst adhering to all safety precautions.• Reassemble components and check for operational deficiency.• Operated a wide variety of hand and power tools including hoists, drills, hydraulic mule, and precision measuring.• Account for tools and equipment used during maintenance• Ensure all works completed are done in a safe and efficient manner.
