Parts Manager
CurrentOversee department operation. Manage parts and wholegoods inventory. Place daily and seasonal stock orders to maintain inventory levels adequate for anticipated seasonal needs. Manage monthly inventory returns to minimize overstock and zero sales items. Process and submit invoices to bookkeeping department to ensure vendors are paid on time. Assist with parts counter sales during busy times of the day.Customer calls to assess needs of individual operations and promote upcoming sales events. Schedule incoming and outgoing freight as well as operate forklifts to load and unload shipments. File overages and shortages for parts shipments and monitor shipping damage. File shipping damage claims when necessary. Monitor sales history to make sure inventory is moving as it should and price levels are correct. File weekly reports to Corporate Parts Manager, Regional VP and Location Manager summarizing safety and employee issues, freight cost and recovery as well as any issues with on time delivery, inventory adjustments and explanation for what was adjusted either in or out, customer tickets that are over 5 days old and what is being done to close, zero sales and excess inventory levels and what is being done to correct and briefly discuss conversations with customers about current events, crop progress, weather concerns or other items that may arise.
