My name is Finch Porter, and I am a student as St. Mary's College of Maryland pursuing a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a minor in Education. I am expected to graduate the Spring Semester of 2027. I am involved in The Point News, which is the campus newspaper, as the acting Opinions section editor. I am passionate about sustainability and conservation. My volunteer work at Patapsco State Park, which lasted for one year, furthered my knowledge of ecological stewardship and solidified my aspiration to become a national park ranger. I possess great research and writing skills, which benefit me both in and out of the classroom, as evidenced by taking and successfully completing 300-level courses. I am committed to the protection of natural landscapes and envision a future serving iconic parks like Yellowstone or the Redwood Forest, where I will contribute to the preservation of our nation's most treasured environments for future generations.
