My biggest strength is thinking critically in challenging and fast-paced situations. Fortunately, I have been blessed to work within my family-run restaurant in Victoria, BC, for a total of 4 years, spanning many positions. I began as a busser and eventually worked towards becoming a personable server through many years of work and experience. My previous roles in my four years included food running, line cooking, prep cooking, expediting, and dishwashing, all of which taught me valuable life-long lessons. Academics have always been a significant motivation for me throughout my life. Being surrounded by other academically successful individuals, such as friends and family, it has always been a competition to strive for greatness. Recognition for such grit and determination can be seen in my high school honors status, or rather, my awarded $3k entrance scholarship to my dream university. Moreover, my experience in the service industry, combined with exemplary academic standings, has helped shape me into a competent individual who can think for themselves and is always open to feedback. The future of industries lies within our hands, and it is on us as individuals to sustain and continue to develop a professional and prosperous work environment.
