With extensive experience in special education fulfilling a variety of roles, to include post 16 vocational education, I am a masters level educated professional working in SEND school quality improvement, providing strategic support and challenge to ASC/SEMH and CAMHS hospital schools, focusing on whole school compliance against the DfE framework, Independent School Standards and Gatsby Benchmarks, as well as providing coaching and mentoring to senior school leaders.As a mental health first aider I also provide supervision, to support staff wellbeing so that they can promote a healthy working environment that supports staff retention.Prior to this role I was a head teacher, DSL, H&S, PSHE and careers lead within a specialist CAMHS school, and have a proven track record of managing and strengthening the school through strong values and strategic leadership. I led this school through its first full inspection in October 2021, and the school achieved a Good with two Outstanding grades for personal development, and behaviour and attitudes, which are the two areas that are the most challenging in such a unique educational setting. I also have 13 years of experience in Post 16 SEND education.I have also been part of internal working groups to drive forward strategic change that promote improvement to systems and processes.I am fully invested in improving the outcomes and future prospects of all children and young people and bringing about strategic change.
