I am a member of the AWS Next Generation Developer Experience team, where I research ways of effectively converting natural language descriptions into working computer code.

I earned a PhD in Linguistics with a focus on Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing. I was a member of the UC Davis Computational Linguistics Lab, advised by Dr. Kenji Sagae. My work included projects involving automated text simplification and paraphrasing, question answering, semantic parsing, conversational AI, and computer-assisted language learning.

I returned to AWS for 14 weeks as an Applied Scientist Intern on the Lex team. My work involved using LLMs to generate evaluation data for task-oriented dialogue systems.

I successfully completed a 24 week internship with AWS Lex. My work focused on using LLMs in the development of zero-shot user simulators for evaluation of task-oriented dialogue systems.

I completed a 10 week internship with Vail Systems. My research focused on developing methods to identify personal information in noisy call center transcripts. Resulted in paper at EMNLP Workshop on Noisy User-Generated Text.
