Facilitate the strategic direction, development and delivery of Norwich Theatre’s community participation programmes and partnerships.Manage an award winning season, Creative Matters - a multi art formed programme exploring the human side of challenging subject matter: dementia, homelessness, mental health, seeking sanctuary, black British identity.Lead on key community programmes such as Shakespeare Nation with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Theatre of Sanctuary with Norwich City of Sanctuary, Children’s Theatre Partnership with The Grand, Blackpool. All programmes aim to connect with new audiences.

Project Manager for The Silver Social – a daytime rural touring programme for older isolated people in non-arts community venues in Breckland, Norfolk. Key responsibilities • Overall management for the three year programme that included establishing the partner group, implementing the marketing and audience development strategy and managing delivery of phase one. • Reporting to Arts Council England, the partner group and Senior Management Board of progress. Key Achievements• Recruitment of Project Coordinator.• Recruitment and formalised agreements with partner group and the Audience Agency.• Commissioning five nationally recognised artists for six week residencies in Breckland’s most isolated villages.• Managed a £300,000 budget.

Developed and implemented strategies and projects to increase and enhance community participation, developed partnerships and focused on income generation through project delivery and accessing external funding. Key achievements / projects • Successfully secured £185,700 from Arts Council England’s Strategic Touring Fund in 2016 to fund The Silver Social, a touring programme for older isolated people.• Managed a family festival from 2012 – 2014 at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, which attracted visitors in excess of over 2,000 and over £3,000 in new memberships for the Museum Service. • Creator of an arts programme for people living with dementia / their careers – Our Day Out, originally funded by the South Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group. Now nationally recognised and managed by Creative Arts East. • Commissioned the Breckland Book Festival, bringing acclaimed authors to town libraries and village halls from 2011-2014.

Led the development of arts and heritage in Breckland by identifying and responding to local priorities and needs, whilst working in partnership with key delivery agencies to develop strategic projects. Key achievements / projects• Increased arts participation by 58% in my first year in the role. • Raised £26,000 during 2010-11 through Arts Council, NHS and the Local Strategic Partnership. • Created a Breckland Film Festival and Theatre Festival through the renegotiation of contracts.

Additional responsibilities for eighteen months including:• Line management of three staff, management of £200,000 team budgets and setting team objectives during the Cultural Olympiad.

Working with hard to reach communities to encourage participation in the arts through partnership projects, festivals and exhibitions. Key achievements / projects • Secured £25,000 from multiple funders to deliver a yearlong youth consultation programme. • Worked with partners – Wigan Council to engage with Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Travellers on an art/film project with Lets Go Global. • Managed community programme and stage for WOW Festival, including recruitment of acts.

Supported and facilitated a series of arts engagement projects that explored the history of neighbourhoods and connected with diverse communities across Merseyside. Key achievements / projects • Coordinated a campaign to secure £120,000 from multiple funders for an arts regeneration programme across Merseyside.• Managed the arts regeneration programme in Housing Market Renewal areas across Merseyside, in partnership with Local Authorities and recruited volunteers and artists for delivery.
