I assist people who have disabilities with utilising the funding available in their NDIS plans, which helps them achieve their short, medium and long term goals.

Responsible for facilitating and assessing both the accredited Certificate I in Work Education and Transition Education Programs, while also facilitating the Certificate I in Initial Adult Literacy & Numeracy. These are programs (12 months in duration part-time) for people with intellectual disabilities. The courses are designed to improve their literacy, numeracy, and employability skills. Eligible participants are directed to the program through our affiliation with Disability Service Providers, e.g. Annecto, YMCA Macey, Central Bayside, Waverley Industries, and Mawarra Centre.

I teach the nationally accredited Certificate I in Work Education & Transition Education to job seekers who are long term unemployed and suffer from an intellectual disability. This 9 month course is designed to build their knowledge and confidence in employability skills, as well as focusing on enhancing their personal development and life skills. This 9 month course includes a work experience placement component.

Building Brighter Futures is a nationally accredited job ready program designed for job seekers (JSA and DES) to build their knowledge and confidence in employability skills, as well as focusing on personal development and wellness for life. This 28 week program includes practical job industry tasters and work experience placements.

As Assistant Dairy Manager, I led the team of 6 stock assistants, completed weekly roster duties, attended planning meetings and daily huddles, ordered weekly stock and received deliveries, trained and mentored new staff, and completed all administrative and legislative requirements.
