In this role I thoroughly enjoyed the key responsibilities of organising university wide themed weeks and events, collaborating with staff and students on novel initiatives and developing a communication strategy. One of my highlights was organising and overseeing over 15 events for Trinity’s Climate and Biodiversity Action week, liaising with external stakeholders.

Whilst working full time at Parker Law Solicitors, primarily in the Conveyancing department, I gained experience in all aspects of the transactions, with responsibilities including scheduling and returning of title documents in fulfillment of undertakings, and carrying out Anti-Money Laundering Checks. I gained invaluable insights into the roles of several key stakeholders, working with the paralegals, secretaries, solicitors and the principal solicitor during my time at the firm.

The Irish Innocence project, which is part of the broader international network of projects, investigates possible wrongful convictions of those who claim factual innocence. I worked with 3 clients, at different stages of their sentences. I was responsible for researching and assisting in the progression of the cases towards a finding of factual innocence or closing the case.

Researching whole food plant-based diets. This position involved bringing an idea from its starting point, thorough research, creating and presenting a presentation to staff members. I worked independently and supported by a fellow research assistant, expanding previous teamwork and communication skills.

Financial Regulation Group.During my time on the Financial Regulation team in Arthur Cox, I gained invaluable office experience, creating reports, and emailing clients directly. I worked on the Amicus Project and on Family Reunification cases.

In this position I was responsible for creating and developing initiatives to engage students and staff in environmentalism, such as the development of educational programs to raise awareness. I assisted and mentored four subcommittees that specialize in different areas of sustainability. I also completed preparations for the renewal of the university ‘Green Flag’.
