Skilled and charismatic professional communicator with broad and varied experience as a radio and TV presenter. My journalistic experience encompasses everything from print media to TV, radio and digital platforms. My recent broadcast successes include: 'Scorchio! The Story of the Weather Girl' for BBC Radio 4 (currently available on BBC Sounds) written and presented by me. My interview skills are my pride; I'm genuinely curious about everybody from rascals to royalty (well, Dame Judi, if she counts). I winkled out the first apology for the Test and Trace inadequacies from Baroness Dido Harding which led the 6pm & 10pm news that day.I have written for a wide range of audiences and have lectured on the multi-media journalism degree at Solent University.I perform stand up comedy and performed my one-woman show, 'Stand Up, Weather Girl!' at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018. In the same year I was short listed for the Funny Women Writing Award. I returned with a revised show in 2022 and continue to perform the show at venues across the country, as well as hosting corporate and charity events. I am currently managing the comms and marketing for a multi academy trust, working with sixteen schools in the south of England.I ran a successful franchised business - Stagecoach Performing Arts, Dorchester - for twenty years, employing a small team of staff. I have excellent leadership and team working skills as well as exceptional business administration abilities.
