▪ Engineering Critical Patient Care was a Vertically Integrated Project through the VCU College of Engineering, where students worked with medical professionals to design and develop Class 1 & 2 medical devices.▪ As the Engineering Team Lead, I managed multiple interdisciplinary student teams of engineering students, working with business students, and medical students for multi-year projects. Utilized timeline management, interdisciplinary communication, and design for manufacturing.▪ Contributed to and oversaw grant applications and pitches, resulting in over $25,000 in grants, awards, and additional funding for further research and development.

▪ Worked under trauma surgeons to oversee design and development of PneumoRx, a Class 1 pneumothorax decompression device to be used by EMS in the event of a collapsed lung.▪ As an Engineering Intern, I acted as a liaison between medical professionals, international vendors and suppliers, and student engineering teams. I completed multiple iterations of medical device design and successfully filed for utility patent (pending) and FDA 510k.
