I am currently a Teacher of History at The Regis School in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, and I am loving each and every day of my role. The chance to help pupils from this community is a responsibility I take seriously and passionately. I am a hardworking graduate with several years experience in a management position within the retail sector, which has given me a good baseline of skills and professional behaviours that prepared me for my foray into the teaching profession. I completed my Initial Teacher Training with the University of Chichester, where I had the opportunity to work with several schools across the West Sussex area. I am a passionate historian who enjoys seeing pupils encounter the past with enthusiasm and rigour that will set them up not only as possible historians, but as a well-rounded member of society. While my own area of expertise in History, gained during my undergraduate studies at the University of Brighton is not currently part of the National Curriculum, I approach each period of history that I teach with the same positivity so that my pupils are able to understand the benefits of studying different kinds of history.
