I have worked as an analytical chemist in an industrial laboratory specializing in inorganic chemistry with some aspects of organic analysis, serving internal customers on the process as well as reporting environmental data, updating procedures, and arranging maintenance of sampling and monitoring equipment. I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2011 after studying BSc (Hons) Marine Environmental Science and I graduated with an upper second class degree (2:1) with 1st class marks in several areas including my final year thesis, marine pollution and conservation units. My studies revolved around oceanography and the various interactions in the marine environment covering chemical, physical, biological and geological aspects of science. It also examined environmental impacts and how systems in the oceans are reacting to global climate change and anthropogenic inputs.I am passionate about conservation and the environment which was focused and built on during my time at university. As a graduate of marine environmental science I have a keen interest in the marine environment, leading me to take up scuba diving. I also spend my spare time reading journals to broaden my knowledge of current affairs in the scientific community.
