I'm a PhD student in the experimental psychology program at Brigham Young University, with a developmental emphasis. I greatly enjoy working in the field I do; in it there’s a significant amount of potential for application to better practically every meaningful part of life: family, business, person-to-person interaction, and much more. I have a background applying my research, having previously spent more than two years at the University of Utah’s Hunstman Cancer Institute leading the development and refinement of a program for melanoma prevention involving parents and their children using behavioral research. My personal research goals at present include facilitating the further understanding of the needs of individuals in a subset of the population who deviate from normative developmental paths, in order to achieve a solid knowledge of how to benefit said individuals through programs to involve them in. Upon completion of my doctoral program I plan to continue applying my background in this field in user experience (UX) research.
