I am honored to join the senior leadership team at American Bible Society and serve with our partners in the United States and globally to see millions more people engaged with God’s Word, the Bible, and their lives transformed by its life changing message!

I provide leadership to our First Bible Global Access Partnerships Strategic Partnerships work, supporting Bible access and engagement efforts in over 50 countries, including the US. I additionally lead American Bible Society’s (ABS) partnerships with the US Catholic Church, promoting Bible engagement for over 70M Catholics and our Digital dotBible initiative with United Bible Societies, which serves 150 Bible Societies in 200 countries.Prior to this role, I was director of the 2020 Year of the Bible campaign, working with national and international partners and influencers on the singular agenda of collectively inviting millions of people to read the Bible. I wrote the strategic plan, raised funds, and oversaw performance management as we documented over 60.4M Bible engagements in 187 countries in 2020 through a collective impact alliance. Before that, I served as Director of National Partnerships in ABS US Ministry and before that Director of Project Ignition, overseeing city mobilization in six major US cities, the historic Armed Services Ministry, Catholic Initiatives, and Multi-language Ministry.

I provide Christians with comprehensive organizational and resource development training and consulting services primarily through The CCNE Institute (TCI). Our vision is for Christian organizations to achieve increased viability, fund-ability, accountability, and sustainability.

I teach a seven week online grant writing course for graduate and undergraduate students every summer as part of the University's Business School.

I served as a program director in this Christian Community Foundation assisting in high net worth donor development and offering grantmaking through Donor Advised Funds, Field of Interest Funds, and other charitable vehicles for donors interested in Christ-centered funding. I also oversaw the foundation's fiscal sponsorship program, inviting Christian nonprofits to come under the umbrella of the foundation and receive significant back office support as they grow. I established and managed a comprehensive nonprofit capacity building program for churches and ministries that trained and equipped ministries, denominations and individuals for nonprofit excellence in finance, governance, fundraising, compliance, and nonprofit communications. I later incubated out of the foundation and established the Center for Christian Nonprofit Excellence, LLC.

I directed the federally funded Capital and Capacity for Economic Recovery 2-year grant making program that provided $600,000 in capacity building grants and finance-focused technical assistance to 22 nonprofit organizations in the 5-county Philadelphia region during the recession. The successful program was written about in the Philadelphia Business Journal, written about as a best practice, and evaluated by the US Department of Health and Human Services.

I served as part of the president's office, overseeing Workforce Development, fatherhood programs, welfare-to-work programs, Blueprint for a Safer Philadelphia-a multi-million dollar youth violence prevention grant making program on behalf of the state of Pennsylvania, and a grant making program on behalf of the city of Philadelphia’s Mayor's Office for Re-entry. I also served as a Senior Advisor to the Mayor's Office. I was also director of compliance and led capacity building support for 90 human service organizations under the organization's fiscal umbrella.

I taught grant writing and organizational development as part of the Masters in nonprofit management degree program.

I served as a senior program officer on the groundbreaking Federal initiative, Ready4Work, providing millions of dollars in grants and contracts to organizations and a municipality in five US east coast cities. This Department of Labor Center for Faith-based and Community Initiatives program was commissioned by President George W. Bush to learn how ex-offenders successfully reintegrate into society after incarceration, obtain employment and retain it. I testified before Congress, managed publications and contributed to field knowledge. I also later wrote a book on behalf of the US Department of Labor on the subject of Workforce Development.

I oversaw grant-making to faith-based nonprofit organizations primarily in Pennsylvania. I also oversaw the foundation's scholarship programs in the US.

I managed the Faith-based Community Economic Development Initiative (department) at this historic national trade association for the community development industry. In this regard, I provided training, technical assistance, and field knowledge through our national trade publication. I also helped broker convenings with the White House and 25 mayors on matters of faith and community partnership around community economic development. I traveled extensively around the nation speaking at events and conferences on the subject of effective faith-based community economic development models. This included work with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Annie E Casey Foundation.

I served as director of this nonprofit capacity building program that taught churches and ministries in the Delaware Valley how to establish a 501(c)3 organization and be funded in partnership with local philanthropy for community betterment.
