I am a Solo Meditation Mentor. What does that mean?It means I deliver evidence-based Solo Meditation programs to teams and support people who are feeling like their Work-Life is out of balance by helping them significantly reduce anger, fatigue and anxiety.I have personally experienced the dramatic benefits of meditation and have seen how it can transform countless lives.My passion has always been science and this is what initially inspired me to become a school teacher. However, In 2017 my wellbeing plummeted during a challenging year. I experienced burn-out, high levels of anxiety, fatigue and depression. A year later, I was listening to Luke Darcy talk about meditation, a subject I had no interest in! As he presented the peer reviewed evidence, I decided to learn as much as I could so I could see how it could work in a class. Over the next year I learnt how to meditate and began healing my mental health. With the help of two inspiring educators at Aldinga Primary, we began experimenting with explicit models in class and learnt that if meditation is used consistently, our ability to connect to both ourselves and others strengthens. This improved Self-Awareness allows us to respond and empathise more, meaning we can effortlessly improve the experience of those around us. in 2019, I founded Be & Co Meditation so I could give more people access to these life changing skills. In 2020, I was asked to use a B1 Leadership position to teach others how to achieve this. 24 staff members were trained and we saw incredible results. I am now extremely grateful to collaborate with companies like Aleda and BHP to share these learnings across Australia.
