My day-to-day role consisted of maintaining stock and inventory levels and ensuring they were kept within the distribution time frames, while operating supply chain management systems. I was responsible for issuing and the receipt of equipment, organisation of freight movement and maintaining legislative standards in the workplace. I was responsible for the organisation of road movements for hazardous and non-hazardous loads, the storage of such materials and ensuring all health and safety regulation were followed. I structured and managed the daily tasks of a team of up to 8 service personnel, both at home and on operations, while managing their administrative needs and daily tasks, whilst ensuring all relevant KPI’s were achieved. I conducted daily management meetings and technical training, reporting on the availability and condition of vehicles, weapons, and ancillaries to all levels of senior management. During my role, I spent 5 years in command of the high security armoury, making sure all weapons were serviced and maintained, meeting administrative requirements, and adhering to the control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH).
