An affable and proactive engineer with proven experience in team environments and a strong drive to learn new skills and develop existing ones.Since graduating from Liverpool John Moore's University with a first in Mechanical Engineering, I joined EASL where I have been continuously exposed to new and exciting technical areas within the structural integrity sector of the civil nuclear industry. On the job I have further developed my understanding of FEA primarily using ABAQUS to analyse sequentially coupled thermal transient analyses and elastic FEA analysis. I have been involved in multiple defect tolerance assessments; originating limiting defect size calculations and assisting with fatigue crack growth. I have also spent a lot of time carrying out design code assessments based on ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code, BS EN 13480 & PD 5500, these assessments have in some cases extended to fitness for purpose assessments based on FEA analysis or reference stress solutions. I have been accredited as a suitably qualified and experienced person (SQEP) in three disciplines so far; classical strength of materials, design code assessment and pipework support monitoring, with the aim to gain my fourth SQEP accreditation in simple FEA in 2023.
