Sam leads the strategic implementation of policy and overall management of risk at Cifas. Sam works to enable risk owners across Cifas to capture, assess, manage (and escalate) risk appropriately. Sam also leads the ISO27001 accredited Information Security Management System at Cifas. As part of his role he is responsible for providing subject matter expertise towards the strategic and tactical implementation of Information Security (including Cyber Security) throughout the organisation and supporting project activities to include security by design and default. Sam works closely with senior stakeholders in Cifas to ensure collaboration and efficiency between departments such as Privacy, Information Governance, and Technology, as well as being an enabler to achieve business goals safely.As part of his role, Sam also has responsibility for Business Continuity and Internal IT service management.
