Engagement manager for Quantum Innovation Centres in the UK - strategic partners within the IBM Quantum Network who aim to advance the development of quantum computing and build national ecosystems. Responsible for driving successful partnerships, supporting clients to execute on their strategic quantum roadmaps, ensuring foresight of technical advances and product developments, being their voice internally to improve products, offerings and enabling them to get the best out of their access to IBM Quantum.

Delivering the £250M Commercialising Quantum Technologies Challenge Fund programme at Innovate UK, with the objective of building a world-leading UK quantum technology industry, with responsibilities to: - shape and deliver collaborative R&D funding competitions- manage a portfolio of innovation projects, assessing progress against scope, time budget and commercialisation- engage in ecosystem building, policy and strategy development Key achievements: 1. Delivered the UK Government's Quantum Networks Mission statement in collaboration with stakeholders across ecosystem, with headlines published in 2023 as part of the National Quantum Strategy 2. Made business case and secured funding uplift for £20M Quantum Networks Accelerator, delivered the programme with 11 industry-led projects launched in 2024.

Key achievements:1. Led on the delivery of a large £50M collaborative R&D programme and two rounds of supply chain feasibility study programmes from inception to award in. A combined £73M in 77 projects.2. Convened a stakeholder event to catalyse industry engagement around the quantum networking and the quantum internet. 3. Led on the development of business-cases for supply chain innovation in quantum computing feeding into Government Spending Review activity.

Technical analysis of local government policies. Built financial models to forecast local government income and expenditure, informing the work of policy officials and feed into ministerial briefings on spending pressures. Worked closely with counterparts at the Treasury to co-ordinate analytical assumptions and prepare the ground for policy debate as part of the 2019 Spending Review.

Worked on the development of diamond-based quantum computing technologies, funded under the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme. The research targeted acceleration in the development of this technology from scientific proof of concept experiments, towards producing efficient photonic components on the roadmap for networked quantum computing applications. A wide-ranging and collaborative project role which involved working with colleagues from institutions across the UK.Key achievements: 1. Seven peer-reviewed publications including Nature Photonics, with over 700 citations2. Led project management of work package with collaborators from Strathclyde, Warwick & Cambridge Universities.3. Developed python and Matlab-based analytical and experimental orchestration tools.4. Developed proof-of-concept spin-photon interfaces at cryogenic temperatures based on micro and nano-structured diamond cavity architecture 5. Delivered instrumentation and experiments that demonstrated the scalability and coherence of laser-written NVs5. Presented outputs at International conferences including, Photonics West, Photon 18, MRS Spring6. Taught 3rd year undergraduate lecture course on Materials and Devices for Optics and Opto-electronics.
