The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Lifesaving Operations DepartmentKey AchievementsI worked with a range of stakeholders to develop an innovative light-touch volunteer role to increase awareness of public safety in key locations around the UK & ROI. This scheme has recruited over 800 volunteers over the last 3 years.I managed the RNLI’s Swim Safe Programme and associated partnership with Swim England, enabling the participation of over 10000 young people in 2022 This participation rate is forecast to increase in key areas in 2023.I produced a 6-week live social media series in response to the national lockdown in 2020, supporting young people at home with key educational activities. Over 8000 families tuned in to the session during the period.

I planned and delivered a broad range of education and behavioural change programmes in London and the South East of England, in order to prevent the loss of life through drowning.I managed the delivery of project and associated teams to deliver a range of outputs including; digital development, programme design and education resources. In 2018, I led on a project to develop a suite of over 40 new educational resources to support teachers and volunteers with water safety delivery.I consulted within the sector as a subject matter expert and represented the RNLI when required at national conferences and regional forums. I managed a team of over 50 volunteers working across the breadth of the education sector. This involved role development, training, ongoing coaching, mentoring and the successful completion of recruitment campaigns.I developed and managed national and regional partnerships with a range of agencies and non-profit organisations including the Royal Lifesaving Society UK, National Fire Chiefs Council and the London Fire Brigade.I managed a diverse programme of activity involving multiple stakeholders, budgets and competing priorities. These programmes engage annually with over 75,000 young people in London and the South East each year.
