On the Video Studio team, I (alongside others):- Worked with various teams (media, video intelligence, SEO) to create a 0-click video generation flow. This was to improve the Compass listings’ search rankings by including a video for every listing (uploaded to YouTube) and to further help other teams adopt the video platform.- Alongside the 0-click work, I created a reusable backfill job to handle older videos that were not auto attached to the older listings.- Investigate and helped solve various memory leak problems in common packages used between teams.- Improve request success rate and lower latencies by adding various valuations, retries and a dedicated “clone” service to better handle video render or video preview requests.- Updated video backend services’ resources (memory, CPU, database storage sizes) to help save over $100k a year.- Participate in various technical specs reviews to provide feedback on design and architecture choices.

On the Video Studio team, I (alongside team members):- Streamlined the video template lifecycle management by creating a CMS/tool for our internal designers. This had a large impact to our Content teams by allowing them to deliver templates faster with validation. It saved engineering time and resources by allowing the Content team to do this themselves.- Update automatic deal attachment for videos generated and retroactively backfill all existing videos. This helped agents link their videos to their existing deals which helped with their future marketing plans.- Removed the 24 hour lag for showing video metrics (views, clicks, opens) by redesigning metrics collection. This allowed our current users to have a better experience with interacting with videos generated on our platform.- Participated in various technical specs reviews to both receive feedback about my designs and to provide others feedback about their design and architecture choices.

On the Experience Backend team, I:- Maintain marketing feeds API that provide various flights, hotels or cars items for advertisements. I assisted students with code review and questions related to simulations of biological systems. I also wrote and updated code tutorials for this modeling and simulation. This class revolved around Starlogo Nova (http://www.slnova.org/) and different agent-based behaviors whether it be molecules, cells, or organisms.
